Lived in Carthage 24 years ago and stop at this place every time we travel from Dallas to Missouri. It is our favorite Mexican restaurant. Usually share the chicken fajitas with my wife. Today we ordered lunch fajitas, 2 tacos a la cart and one chicken enchilada. FANTASTIC! I really like the chips and hot sauce. We always add white cheese dip. We call the owner Papi since we started going right after our daughter was born. He is still there and asked, "Where are the kids?" They're grown and moved out.

A few years back I had given up on this el charros and recently decided to give it another chance, and let me tell you I am so glad I did! They have changed locations since my last visit and it's very nice. The staff was so polite and gave us top notch service. The food was out of this world. Very fresh very authentic and simply amazing. Thank you el charro

I have ordered takeout many times. It is always ready when I arrive and it is always excellent. I usually get street tacos or fajitas. I also highly recommend the roasted jalapenos with your meal. Just ask for them because I’m not sure if they are on the menu.

I enjoyed my dinner very much. The food was very good, service was fast and the music was at the right loudness. I loved the chips they brought, they were the thin ones that fill you up. I ended up ordering more than I could eat. It was so good. I ordered off the Ma's favorite menu. The special. Had beautiful murals and Speedy Gonzales. If your looking for something that isn't chain, this is wonderful.

We had a huge crowd of at least 30 people, including kids, after a family funeral. But, even with this many people, the service was amazing, and the orders came out correct as far as I know. The food and drinks are always spot on! Tell 'em Wade sent you.

El Charro is always a good experience. The food is consistently good and so is the service. Prices are more than fair, food comes out fast, and there's hardly ever a long wait.
